Setting the Space Mobile App
Overview:
Setting the Space is a boutique brand that was looking to give customers a more modern experience while browsing online, but also while shopping in their physical stores. We met with the owners and discovered that there was a lot of need for their employees to spend time with customers talking about various pieces or artists that uniquely make up their products, and wanted to find a way to spend less time at the cash registers checking people out. There was also a concern they expressed that customers did a lot of browsing in-store, but a lot of it never translated into a transaction.
We ideated for quite some time, and we came up with some great concepts that resonated with them and their customers when we tested them. First, we created a scanning experience that allowed customers to scan any tag on any item in their store to a) get more product information (this helped reduce the amount of repeat information that was given to multiple customers), b) save a product to a customizable board so they could revisit later (this allowed STS to extend their customers’ journey outside the store, target marketing, etc.), and 3) add products to their cart and checkout without needing to wait in line at a register.
It was a very cool project to work on, and am excited to see where the experience gets taken in years to come!
